CER Business Plan

This page contains the CER vision for 2025, to read the concrete business plan, open the toggle above.

The Commons Economy Roadmap: an open protocol for the evolution of our Economic Infrastructures

The Commons Economy Roadmap (CER) is a knowledge base and promotion protocol to highlight and empower what we consider to be among the most relevant projects in the current economic juncture: companies and ecosystems that are building open infrastructures to regenerate society, to support the struggle of citizens, farmers, activists, scientists, tech experts and entrepreneurs on the ground at the dawn of global collapse.

As an initiative conceived and designed in symbiosis with the broader plan of Commons Ecosystems, CER aims at becoming one of its core protocols, an open decentralized resources allocation mechanism for advancing all Commoners and their struggles for a new society.

Our Vision

We envision CER evolving from its initial form of a curated knowledge base into a distributed protocol that helps coordinate resources, attention, and collaboration across the builders and promoters of the Commons Economy. By 2025 and beyond, CER will function as an "infrastructure of infrastructures" — an organism that brings together the broadest set of stakeholders involved in the development of our (g)local economies.

One of our main goals and concerns is to evolve CER into a powerful basin of attention generating a network effect that benefits all the stakeholders, against the structural pressure acting on any multi-stakeholder protocol to become an extractive neo-intermediary, extracting value unfairly from workers, the environment and weaker value contributors.
